A Day in the Life Medtronic’s Tempe, Arizona location is looking for a day shift Technician III that will accept the challenge of providing critical customer support on production impacting situations. In this position you will work in the cleanroom, performing a variety of routine and non‑routine tasks in electrical, mechanical, quality, or other technical areas. You will complete complex tasks requiring judgment in determining work methods, interpreting test results and writing clear and accurate test result reports. You may build and test mechanical models, electrical circuits and assemblies. You may also have responsibility for minor projects and assist on assignments that are moderately complex to complex in nature where judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.

Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.

Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.

Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format in a manufacturing clean room environment.

Analyze data from multiple forms to determine the disposition of non-conforming product.

Shift 12 hour, 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.

Nice to Have

Two‑year degree (certificate) in Electronic Technology or equivalent (vocational or technical college).

Electronic analysis instrument setup and operating experience.

Solder and assembly experience.

Familiarity with circuit board manufacturing.

Previous experience with LabVIEW.

DRM, Lean, or Six Sigma experience.

Good documentation practice.

Teamwork oriented.

Proficient computer skills.

Benefits & Compensation Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package. Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $58,000.00 – $87,000.00. This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).
