We’re looking for a Forklift driver / Warehouse Operatives to join our Supply Chain team, working across our chilled supply chain
departments. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll play a vital part in ensuring products are received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately, safely and on time.
Job Title: Forklift driver / Warehouse Operative
Shift Pattern: 06:00 – 18:00 or 18:00 – 06:00 4on 4off
Location: Unit 4 Bristol Distribution Park, Hawkley Drive, Bristol, BS32 0BF
Salary: Days £13.40 – Nights £14.40 (plus overtime outside of normal shift)
About The Compleat Food Group What you’ll be doing As a Fork Lift Truck Driver / Warehouse Operative you’ll be a key member of the warehouse team, supporting the flow of materials from goods‑in through to despatch. You will be driving Fork Lift Trucks and other manual handling warehouse equipment, you’ll ensure stock integrity, traceability and quality standards are met at every stage. This is a varied role, which will keep you on your feet throughout the shift.
Driving both the FLT, and picking stock from the warehouse. So will be utilising your skill set.
You’ll work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and Line Co‑ordinator, adapting to changing priorities while maintaining high standards of food safety, health & safety, GMP and customer service.
Unload, receive and store inbound deliveries using FLTs
Accurately book stock into systems using scanning equipment
Ensure correct stock rotation, expiry date control and full traceability
Segregate materials to prevent cross‑contamination
Pick, assemble, wrap and label customer orders accurately in the correct procedure
Load vehicles safely and correctly, completing loading plans, paperwork and temperature checks
Replenish goods for factory use and manage waste and recycling streams
Maintain clean, tidy and audit‑ready warehouse areas
What we’re looking for We are looking for enthusiast and reliable people with the following skill set, full training will be provided:
FLT experience (counterbalance/reach, depending on site requirements) – We do accept "In‑House" licences and will assess your competency at interviews with our internal FLT training team.
Experience working in a warehouse, ideally within FMCG or food manufacturing
Strong attention to detail with a "right first time" mindset
Understanding of stock rotation, GMP, food hygiene and health & safety standards
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, temperature‑controlled environment
Flexible, reliable and able to adapt to short‑notice schedule changes
A team player who takes ownership and communicates clearly
