A Day in the Life In this role, Technician IV will perform a wide range of technical duties across electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical disciplines. This role will support engineering and operational teams through equipment construction, troubleshooting, testing, calibration, and maintenance activities. The position may also provide technical leadership, project support, and guidance to lower-level technicians.

Key Responsibilities

Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, and systems.

Work from schematics, engineering drawings, specifications, and written or verbal instructions.

Operate related equipment and instrumentation; conduct tests and document results in prescribed formats.

Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and part replacements as directed.

Prepare prescribed compounds, solutions, or materials as required for testing or maintenance activities.

Perform technical activities that are complex in nature and have broader operational or project impact.

Support and run projects, including performing complex tests, interpreting data, developing key reports, and providing updates to cross‑functional teams.

Identify potential improvements or adjustments to systems and processes in collaboration with the supervisor to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

Communicate technical information with internal stakeholders on matters of significance to assigned job areas or projects.

Train, delegate, and review the work of lower-level technicians.

May act as a team lead and provide day‑to‑day guidance for work team activities.

May assist the supervisor or manager with planning, coordination, and execution of daily operations.

Delegate tasks to team members and review work products for accuracy and quality.

Does not have formal people‑management responsibilities but may provide input into performance, development, or staffing decisions.

Must Have

High School diploma or equivalent with minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Experience in medical device or related industry.

Benefits & Compensation Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$68,800.00 - $103,200.00

This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
