Essential Functions
Embrace the 1 TEAM culture
Wear all required protective equipment in accordance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards.
Maintain a safe, healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping, and adhering to safety guidelines.
Develop knowledge of slitter set‑up program.
Generate build sheets based on production work orders.
Build heads utilizing build sheet instructions.
Maintain knife and rubber inventory.
Clean slitter knives and slitter tooling.
Set‑up, maintain and repair production machines, tooling and other equipment.
Perform routine checks of parts to ensure product quality.
Constantly inspect machinery, equipment, and process to ensure safety.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Use computers and read tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
Perform complete set‑up and operational tasks of slitting to ensure compliance with customer specifications and production requirements.
Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs.
Perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Work outside normal business hours/days as needed.
Interact effectively with employees at all levels.
Read and comprehend simple work instructions, work orders, short correspondence, and memos written in English.
Write simple correspondence in English.
Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Industry knowledge and experience a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Noise level is usually medium to high.
Employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Frequently required to talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
