Job Description
As
Metrology Technician,
you will be responsible for performing/facilitating calibration and preventative maintenance of measurement instruments. Additional responsibilities include supporting Metrologist activities such as MSA, TMV, Equipment Ordering, and other items as needed.
Main accountabilities and tasks
Perform or facilitate calibration/verification of measurement equipment
Maintain accurate records of calibration results, certificates, and equipment history in the calibration management system.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, replacing equipment as required.
Assist in developing and improving calibration procedures and work instructions.
Manage calibration schedules to minimize downtime and ensure timely service.
Operate and maintain calibration tools, standards, and reference instruments.
Support internal audits and customer inspections related to calibration compliance.
Provide technical support and training to staff on proper equipment handling and measurement practices.
Qualifications Work experience:
1+ years in a manufacturing environment
Education:
Associate Degree or Technical certification in a technical field preferred and/or previous work experience.
Other:
Strong understanding of measurement principles and uncertainty analysis.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and standards.
Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
