Silver Star Construction, a local road construction company, is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators to drive/operate and control large equipment and vehicles including bulldozers, backhoes, front‑end loaders, scraper/tractor pans, track hoes, motor graders, mixers, and water trucks.
Requirements
Skilled heavy equipment operators with verifiable experience running grader, dozer, scraper, track hoe, mixer, and front‑end loader.
Unload equipment from vehicles.
Knowledge of machine settings.
Maintain equipment functionality often.
Keep performance record(s) of machine functionality regularly.
Provide pre‑emptive maintenance on equipment to prevent malfunction.
Pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections/evaluations of the equipment.
Heavy Equipment Operator Skills Hand and foot coordination, good communication skills (oral and written), ability to work as a team, strong critical thinking ability, high attention to detail, and decision‑making ability to prevent accidents and damage to property. Physical ability to work in a strenuous environment and strength to operate heavy equipment.
Qualifications
Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical.
Must be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures (both hot and cold).
Must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary.
Must be able to work overtime when required.
Must perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, crouching, shoveling, etc.
Must adhere to safety requirements and procedures.
