Position Summary
The Central Scheduler is responsible for overseeing and managing the central scheduling team within the hospital. This position ensures that all patient appointments and procedures are scheduled accurately and in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of customer service. The team lead will work closely with department heads, clinical staff, and patients to optimize scheduling processes and improve operational efficiency. Patient Appointment Scheduling
Utilize the Health System's electronic scheduling system (EPIC) and the Deaconess.com website to schedule and reschedule patient appointments accurately. Communication and Coordination
Collaborate with physicians, their offices, and relevant departments to coordinate appointment times, especially for specialized procedures like infusion services. Patient Confidentiality
Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Multitasking and Critical Thinking
Effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing situations in a fast‑paced environment. Education
High School diploma or equivalent education. Experience
Minimum of 1 year hospital/medical office experience required. A good understanding of medical terminology required. Licenses/Certificates
None Compensation
Hourly Range - $16.34-$24.52 Incentives
Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process. Bonus
Potential for a performance‑based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics. Details regarding bonus eligibility and performance goals will be provided during the interview process or upon hire. Benefits
