Job Title: CNC Machinist
Location: Columbia, New Jersey Employment type: Full‑time Seniority level: Associate Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Hourly rate: up to $42.00 per hour (commensurate with experience) Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce high‑precision parts. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate production. Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain specifications. Handle, move, and position raw materials and finished parts, adhering to proper lifting techniques. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following OSHA and company safety standards. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, defects, or unsafe conditions. Follow proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when performing maintenance or troubleshooting equipment. Safety and Physical Requirements
Must follow all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, including safety glasses, steel‑toe boots, hearing protection, and gloves as necessary. Regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, kneel, and use hands to handle tools and materials. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques; mechanical lifting aids must be used for heavier loads. Exposure to loud noise, metal shavings, and industrial lubricants; adherence to hearing conservation programs and proper ventilation guidelines is required. Awareness of potential hazards, including rotating machinery, high temperatures, and pinch points, with a focus on maintaining safety at all times. Compliance with OSHA regulations, including hazard communication, machine guarding, and emergency response procedures. What You Will Bring to the Role
Previous experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents. Understanding of basic G‑code programming and machine operation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred Qualifications
Certification or training in CNC machining or a related field. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and workplace hazard awareness. We run one of the finest Metal Additive and CNC Manufacturing operations. We can provide developmental prototypes quickly and run the program through the required production quantities in our 40 CNC machining facility, which includes many 5‑axis machining centers.
