Joint Construction is currently seeking a lead carpenter for a direct hire position in the greater Madison area. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing various remodeling projects, ensuring they are completed with the highest level of quality and within the designated timelines. Responsibilities
Collaborate with project managers and architects to understand project requirements and develop strategies Maintain a clean and safe working environment Lead and manage carpenters throughout the entirety of projects in a cost‑effective manner Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction documents Take accurate measurements and anticipate future materials needed Accurately develop change orders Construct, install, and repair various wooden structures and fixtures Order and monitor removal of debris Ensure all work is completed in accordance with the designated specifications and building codes Communicate with building inspectors well in advance of pending inspection Attend final completion walk through Train, mentor, and supervise other carpenters and construction workers Communicate effectively with calls, texts, emails, JobTread, and enter daily logs Qualifications
