Job Title:
Level 3 Data Center Technician (Night Shift)
Location:
Mount Pleasant, WI
Shift Schedule:
Night shift A‑side – 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday)

$36.30 – $36.30 per hour
Responsibilities
Perform Level 1 and Level 2 tasks as needed.
Move, inspect, and install servers and switches; cable them according to wire maps.
Bundle cables neatly and verify all connections are operational.
Install additional components such as NICs, drives, and memory.
Assist with unboxing, prep, and auditing servers and consumables.
Troubleshoot a variety of servers, isolate problems, and resolve tickets.
Order, install, and ship replacement parts; update firmware to the latest versions.
Configure IP addresses and default login credentials on servers.
Support network administrators with cable replacement, port routing, optic changes, and component upgrades.
Rack, stack, and temporarily configure servers or switches for remote access by network admins.
Deploy and configure GPUs in servers, ensuring proper installation and functionality.
Perform break‑fix tasks, including troubleshooting and replacing faulty components.
Provide advanced troubleshooting support and resolution of tickets.
Serve as the initial contact and liaison between team members and management.
Prioritize and manage workload across the team.
Review build documentation before projects and validate any questions or concerns.
Direct build activities related to data center operations and maintain alignment with data center standards.
Provide thought leadership to aid program growth.
Manage multiple simultaneous projects under high stress and monitor project deadlines.
Ensure compliance with safety measures and data center standards.
Requirements
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Flexibility to work non‑standard business hours, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, climb ladders, wear personal protective gear, and stand/walk for extended periods.
4+ years of experience in a hyperscale environment.

Structured cabling, rack & stack, fiber, or optical testing experience.
Understanding of storage devices.
Ticketing system work and priorities management.
ITIL Framework (ITSM, Change Management, Problem Management).
Strong network fundamentals (OSI Layers 1‑3).
Building, testing, and running cables between devices.
Installing and terminating copper and fiber optic cabling.
GPU deployment and troubleshooting.
OSHA 30 or higher certification.
