Job Brief
Responsible for maintaining a high level of food safety and product quality through the cleaning and sanitation of food processing equipment, utensils, and the facility.
Pay range:
$17.81
Reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor &/or Lead. The Sanitation Technician is responsible for all cleaning of soiled supplies and equipment used in the production process. Additionally, this individual is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and efficient work area. May perform other duties as required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining a high level of food safety and product quality through the cleaning and sanitation of food processing equipment, utensils, and the facility.
Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.
Experience working with sanitation tools, chemicals, & food safety required.
Assemble and disassemble equipment when cleaning.
Understanding and use of cleaning chemicals.
Prior food manufacturing experience.
Experience with using high pressure hose.
Good communication skills and ability to grasp tasks quickly.
Use of electric or manual pallet jack.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of sanitation experience required or relevant work experience.
Work Environment
Work performed in a cold environment.
Job requires lifting up to 50 pounds; must be able to lift/carry/twist/bend/stoop/push/pull.
Standing for long periods of time.
