The CWS Student Support Coordinator is a key member of the Corporate Work Study team, responsible for ensuring student success in their professional job placements through structured mentorship, early intervention, and family engagement. This role supports both students and supervisors by fostering accountability, addressing challenges proactively, and promoting growth in workplace readiness and professional skills. Overview of Responsibilities
The Student Support Coordinator manages a caseload of student associates, monitors performance and attendance, leads the Retraining Program, and collaborates across departments to resolve workplace issues. This position requires a high level of communication, organization, discretion, and commitment to student growth. Core Responsibilities
1. Student Case Management
Conduct regular bi-weekly check‑ins with student associates and their job site supervisors Track and report attendance, punctuality, timecard completion, and workplace behavior Maintain accurate records and notes in Salesforce (WSF) Serve as the main contact for assigned families and corporate partners Enforce dress code and behavioral standards in alignment with CWS expectations Provide one‑on‑one coaching and mentorship to support professional growth Monitor evaluations and assist students in creating and following performance improvement plans 2. Performance Interventions & Retraining
Identify and respond to underperformance using data from evaluations and timecards Lead the Retraining Program, including curriculum delivery, scheduling, documentation, and communication Re‑onboard students returning from retraining or transitioning job placements Coordinate proactive interventions for students with multiple performance concerns Monitor timecards daily and resolve issues within 24 hours Create, implement, and track Attendance Contracts Communicate directly with students and families regarding absences, make‑up days, and missed work Help maintain the CWS transportation tracker and driver board. 4. Family Engagement & Communication
Conduct family conferences when behavioral or performance concerns arise Provide parents/guardians with timely updates on workplace progress and attendance Serve as a liaison between school, family, and corporate partner to ensure collaborative support 5. Corporate Partner Support
Regularly check in with workplace supervisors to assess student progress and troubleshoot concerns Offer coaching and resources to supervisors to help maximize student efficiency Respond promptly to partner concerns and coordinate student support accordingly 6. Operational & Program Support
Collaborate with the Transportation Manager during peak periods and for coverage needs Support implementation of student make‑up workdays and reassignments Coordinate student checkouts and returns of CWS‑issued items (badges, equipment, etc.) Provide on‑site support and supervision during orientations, interviews, and open houses Serve as a notary for families and support onboarding logistics, including drug testing and Summer Step Up Plan and deliver professional development for students not currently placed at a worksite 7. Academic Coordination
Maintain and update the PowerSchool CWS gradebook Monitor academic ineligibility and collaborate with the Student Development Manager to align no‑work time with academic recovery Ensure students use available time for professional development or academic growth when not scheduled to work Work Environment & Physical Demands
Primarily office‑based with regular visits to student worksites Some evenings and weekends required for CWS events and programming Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and support with event setup as needed Seniority Level
