Responsibilities
Manage other maintenance requests as required
Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs
Make records of when any equipment was serviced and repairs were made
Examine building windows, walls, and doors for damage and perform repairs when needed
Plan and implement preventative maintenance procedures to maximize equipment operations and minimize safety risks
May perform general carpentry, tiling, painting, and wall surface repairs (experience is helpful but not required)
Completes maintenance request forms
Clean and maintain the lobby and other public areas to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates, and vendors
Vacuum and/or sweep all floor surfaces
Complete and document pool readings (will train)
Transports guests to and from the airport and other locations as requested, while demonstrating all common courtesies and obeying driving and traffic laws (valid, clean driver’s license/record)
Responds in a timely, courteous manner to guests' questions, complaints, or requests
Maintain guests' privacy
Properly maintain tools, workspaces, and equipment
Maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor
Performs other duties as assigned, responds on a radio/on-call basis
Qualifications
Must have graduated from high school/received GED or equivalent
At least 2 years of maintenance experience
Needs to have availability to respond on nights and weekends to on‑call maintenance requests
Should be able to demonstrate understanding of heating and air-conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems
Must be able to demonstrate advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, techniques and procedures
Problem‑Solving Skills
Interpersonal Skills (Connecting with guests on a comfortable, personal level)
Technical and Computer Skills
Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry is helpful but not required
Experienced with general maintenance tools
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Multi‑tasking/working under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
Caring and compassionate attitudeKnowledge of the surrounding area and events
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Reliability and punctuality
Compensation $16.50 - $17.50 hourly
