Front Office Assistant, Sr

Full-Time (Open availability for Saturdays and limited Sundays; may work late until 8:30 PM)
Position Summary The Front Office Assistant Senior performs routine computerized scheduling and administrative functions in an ambulatory or physician office setting under the direction of leadership. This role requires strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and proficiency in office operations to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Orlando Health policies, procedures, and standards.
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including answering phones, taking messages, and filing lab reports and medical records.
Perform word processing and spreadsheet data entry.
Manage charge entry and cash handling.
Act as a liaison between physicians, patients, and insurance companies, including obtaining referrals and authorizations.
Maintain punctual attendance and compliance with all organizational policies.
Other Related Functions
Participate in Quality Assurance activities.
Maintain awareness of legal issues, patient rights, and regulatory standards.
Keep office clean, safe, and organized.
Assist office billing services as requested.
Education & Training
High School diploma or equivalent.
Typing speed of approximately 30 WPM or demonstrated proficiency in practice management systems.
Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding.
Licensure/Certification
None required.
Experience
Two (2) years of experience in a medical office environment.
