Southwoods Health is seeking a professional and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Pain and Spine Center team in Boardman, Ohio. At Southwoods, we are committed to providing a patient‑first experience where employees are treated with the same care and respect as our patients.
Responsibilities
Room patients in a timely manner, obtain vital signs, and record patient history, medications, and allergies in the EMR system.
Manage incoming calls, provide information to patients, and maintain accurate medical records.
Efficiently schedule patient appointments, procedures, and surgeries within the Pain and Spine Center.
Partner with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide quality, comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a diploma.
Active certification through one of the following: RMA (American Medical Technologists), CMA (American Association of Medical Assistants), CCMA (National Healthcareer Association).
Minimum of one (1) year of direct work experience as a Medical Assistant.
Additional Requirements
Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Schedule & Benefits
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
Work‑Life Balance: No evenings, weekends, or holidays.
