Scheduler

The scheduler is expected to have the scheduling department open and operating each day. The scheduling department will schedule all procedures for all ERI locations and departments.
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
Key Responsibilities
Professionally schedules patients for procedures through referring physician’s offices.
Answers incoming phone calls and schedules appointments. Secures accurate and up-to-date patient information including demographic and insurance information.
Schedules, coordinates, cancels and reschedules appointments when equipment breaks down or other issues arise (e.g., inclement weather, staff shortage).
Schedules all radiology modalities with patients.
Gathers general information pertaining to the patient for entry into the scheduling system.
Coordinates scheduling with ERI clinical staff.
Informs physician’s offices and/or patients of any preparations that the patient may need prior to the procedures.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year customer service or equivalent preferred.
Certification/License/Registration: None required.
