Job Summary The Cycle Counter is responsible for accurately counting and recording inventory to ensure the integrity of inventory data in the warehouse or storage facility. This position plays a critical role in identifying inventory discrepancies, supporting stock accuracy, and helping to maintain smooth warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily cycle counts of inventory in specified locations.
Accurately record quantities of products using handheld scanners or manual logs.
Investigate and report inventory discrepancies (shortages, overages, and damages).
Assist with root cause analysis of inventory issues and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with inventory control, receiving, and shipping teams to ensure stock accuracy.
Maintain clean and organized inventory areas.
Assist in periodic full physical inventory counts, as needed.
Follow company safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
Previous warehouse, inventory, or cycle counting experience preferred.
Basic math and computer skills.
Familiarity with inventory software and RF scanners is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
Working Conditions
Warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
May involve standing, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.
