Essential Job Duties
Perform PMs, oil changes, greasing trucks and trailers, tire services, CSA/DOT inspections, service calls, night call outs.
Conduct intermediate to advanced electrical repair and diagnostics.
Complete intermediate to advanced wheel end repair (S‑cam/bushing replacement, spindle repairs, race and bearing replacement, wheel seals, etc.).
Perform intermediate air system repair (diagnostics, tank replacement, air bags, leveling valves, dash valves, etc.).
Conduct basic HVAC repair (evac & recharge, verify cause of failure).
Perform basic coolant repairs (thermostat, water pump, hoses, fittings, radiator, etc.).
Perform basic welding.
Conduct basic starting/charging diagnostics.
Complete basic engine repair (belts, tensioners, pulleys).
Perform basic steering/suspension repair (shocks, reservoirs, filters, alignment, etc.).
Perform basic drivetrain and transmission repairs (clutch adjustments, U‑joints, carrier bearings, etc.).
Maintain cleanliness of shop and keep free of clutter.
Ensure all service equipment is in good working order and repaired when needed.
Ensure parts and tires are properly put away.
Complete work orders with customer information, labor performed, parts used.
Ensure customer satisfaction and uphold Bosselman integrity.
Practice and adhere to all safety policies.
Complete OSHA Skills Demonstration within first week.
Stay current on all LMS training.
Provide friendly and competent customer service.
Report for work on time when scheduled.
Additional Duties
Assist in other duties as assigned.
Educational and Experience Requirements
Tire Service Certified by TIA within 18 months of employment.
Air Brake Certification.
DOT Medical Card required at Boss Shops.
Two years minimum experience as a diesel technician.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid driver’s license and insurable to drive.
Complete brake training.
Complete wheel seal training.
Ability to attend HVAC, Electrical and DOT training.
Ability to obtain ASE, DOT, TIA and other certifications.
Able to work weekends, holidays and as needed.
Reliable transportation and phone.
Able to communicate in English.
Friendly, courteous and prompt customer service.
Cooperative with other team members.
Show proficiencies required by Tech I training program.
Physical Requirements
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.; frequent standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, reaching; occasional sitting, climbing or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
