Lead Adult Groups Pastor (Madison Campus) The primary responsibility of the Lead Adult Groups Pastor is to provide spiritual, visionary, team-based, value-driven leadership to mobilize the people of Pinelake Church into Biblical community in a manner consistent with the purpose, vision, and core values as expressed in the Strategic Ministry Plan.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Pinelake Church.

Assists the Campus Pastor to work toward excellence in all areas of the ministry.

Basic personal responsibilities:

Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, meditation and practicing L3.

Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children).

Faithfully support the ministries of Pinelake by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.

Maintain active participation in community.

Reflect a growing awareness and practice of personal Emotional Healthy Spirituality.

Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Pinelake Church (Colossians 3:23-24).

SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership and oversight over our groups team by leading our Associate Groups Minister and Department Administrative Assistant.

Pursue small group leadership contacts weekly for the purposes of shepherding, vision casting, and organizational health.

Lead the small group leadership culture by developing and leading a team of directors, coaches, and small group leaders.

Recruit potential and new small group leadership for multiplication of groups.

Strategically pursue couples and individuals for group connection.

Servant leaders developed and deployed for ministry ownership.

Address church needs through variety of new equipping groups.

Develop and deploy servant leader teaching team for equipping groups.

Train leaders to lead their groups and disciple individuals within their groups.

In conjunction with the Adult Groups team, help execute groups events including but not limited to: Group Launch, Leader Huddles, Men's and Women's Specific opportunities and Equip Classes.

Prepares and manages the budget for the Adult Groups ministry within the parameters established by the Executive Team and under the oversight of the Campus Pastor.

Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree minimum; and four to six years of related experience and/or training.

ABOUT THE ROLE This Student Pastor role is centered on reaching and discipling students (grades 6–12) to know Christ, cultivate a deep love for God and others, and equip them to live missionally. The position involves teaching, leading volunteers, planning events, and fostering spiritual growth among students and their families. The ideal candidate will be a servant leader with strong communication, organization, and relational skills, who is actively engaged in the life of the church. Responsibilities include overseeing student programs, coordinating with Mt. Juliet Christian Academy (MJCA), and facilitating outreach and missions. The role requires a visible, faithful presence on campus and a commitment to excellence in ministry leadership.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Students

Build Christ-centered relationships with students in grades 6–12.

Maintain a visible presence at MJCA and local schools.

Provide pastoral care, guidance, and counseling to students and families.

Create opportunities for students to identify and use their spiritual gifts.

Lead a welcoming environment where all students feel known and loved.

Collect feedback to continually improve ministry impact and relevance.

Parents

Develop supportive relationships with parents and caregivers.

Equip parents to be primary disciple-makers through resources and training.

Maintain open lines of communication with parents and seek regular feedback.

Facilitate forums or groups to encourage and equip parents of teens.

Leaders

Provide leadership and development to student ministry staff and volunteers.

Implement a robust recruitment, training, and retention plan for volunteers.

Ensure adherence to church safety policies and student protection protocols.

Encourage and create community among leaders through team-building and appreciation efforts.

Provide ongoing equipping through training events, resources, and mentorship.

Outreach & Missions

Encourage students to engage their schools and communities with the gospel.

Develop a missions strategy that progresses students from exposure to leadership in missions.

Lead students in local, national, and international mission opportunities.

Plan and execute outreach events that engage new students and families.

Partner with schools, local organizations, and outreach ministries in Mt. Juliet/Wilson County.

Organizational

Lead, coordinate, and evaluate all student ministry activities and programs.

Research and recommend relevant curriculum and teaching tools.

Develop systems for evaluating success based on attendance, engagement, and spiritual growth.

Partner with church leaders to ensure ministry alignment with the overall vision.

Execute intentional annual programming: camps, retreats, mission trips, outreach, and spiritual formation events.

Coordinate student chapels for MJCA.

Participate in staff outreach efforts, including visitation and new member engagement.

Maintain and evaluate ministry structure, policies, space, and equipment needs.

Prepare and manage the student ministry budget.

Perform bi-annual performance reviews in coordination with the Senior Pastor.

Attend at least one ministry conference and one mission event annually.

Oversee the small group curriculum scope and sequence.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be a committed follower of Jesus Christ with a demonstrated life of integrity and spiritual maturity.

Be an active member of First Mt. Juliet, faithfully attending, serving, and giving.

Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills; be able to multitask while maintaining a positive outlook.

Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information.

Successfully complete background checks and all child safety training.

Theological education and student ministry experience.

Maintain consistent on-campus presence: Monday – Thursday (8 AM–4 PM), Wednesday evenings (5–8:00 PM), and Sundays (7 AM–12:30 PM).

Participate in weekly staff meetings unless excused.

Hamlin Baptist Church is seeking a full-time Student Pastor to provide spiritual leadership to students in grades 6-12 and their families.

Key Qualifications

Born-again believer with a healthy and growing relationship with Jesus Christ

Demonstrates enthusiasm for the mission and vision of Hamlin Baptist Church

Meets the biblical qualifications for Pastor/Elder/Overseer in character and calling (1 Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9)

Passionate about teaching and preaching the Word of God to teenagers

Desires to build meaningful relationships with teenagers and parents

Teachable and eager to grow as a follower of Christ and as a ministry leader Committed to the gathering of the local church for worship and prayer

Responsibilities

Weekly Ministry: 1. Lead weekly student ministry programming each Sunday and Wednesday that is faithful to Scripture and engaging to teenagers

2. Create ministry environments that foster Gospel-centered community for all students

3. Develop a culture that encourages belonging, care, and family participation

4. Serve as the primary preacher and teacher to students, helping them understand and apply the Word of God to their lives

5. Recruit, train, and disciple student ministry volunteers

Discipleship and Pastoral Leadership: 1. Equip parents to serve as the primary discipleship influence in their families

2. Empower students to lead appropriate facets of ministry programming

3. Serve as a model for servant leadership for teenagers and volunteers

4. Lead by example in evangelism through an active presence on local school campuses

5. Provide pastoral care for student ministry families in times of crisis and need

Events and Administration: 1. Oversee the registration process, planning, and execution of student ministry events (camps, retreats, mission projects, etc.)

2. Develop and manage the student ministry calendar and budget

3. Communicate regularly with students and parents

4. Develop and maintain a system for capturing information and making relational connections with new student ministry families

5. Attend and contribute to weekly staff meetings as part of a ministry team

1. Preach periodically in the Sunday morning worship gathering as needed

2. Serve as a member of the Advisory Committee, attending and contributing to monthly meetings

3. Collaborate with the Communications Director to maximize reach and influence through a variety of relevant social media platforms

4. Meet weekly with the Senior Pastor for prayer, guidance, and encouragement

5. Assist in facility setup/teardown for student ministry programming and church-wide events

6. Assist the Senior Pastor and the staff team in additional ministry events (weddings, funerals, receptions, etc.). Other duties as assigned
