About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Senior Software Engineer with a focus on Capital Markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of decision support systems that evaluate finance operations, including trading, investment, credit, market risk, and deal underwriting. This role involves creating, developing, and maintaining these systems, as well as determining and implementing appropriate models, evaluation, and error-checking systems. The engineer will also be tasked with developing connection protocols and APIs for data import, creating automation scripts, and designing reporting tools for system analysis and performance evaluation.
Applicants must have a hands-on development background with Java, particularly Java 17, and experience in the pricing and risk domain within investment banking. In-depth knowledge of rates products, strong computer science fundamentals, and experience with Scrum/agile methodology are essential. The role requires a proactive self-starter with a proven track record of delivering applications from inception to production, extensive experience in test-driven development, and knowledge of CI/CD in large, complex systems. The engineer will also be expected to work closely with business units, trading desks, and various technical teams to ensure the systems meet the evolving needs of the business.
