About the Role
The Company is in search of a Dean for its School of Law, a role that demands an entrepreneurial leader with a strong commitment to academic excellence, student experience, and institutional sustainability. The successful candidate will be the chief academic and administrative officer, responsible for managing the budget, overseeing instructional programs, and working with faculty, staff, and students to enhance the quality of teaching, research, and public service. The Dean will also be tasked with maintaining and improving the Law Library and School Technology, as well as planning and administering admissions policies. A key aspect of the role is to serve as the chief liaison with the University, and the ideal candidate will have a history of developing and maintaining consensus and cohesiveness within a law school setting.
Applicants for the Dean position at the company's School of Law must have an earned JD or equivalent from an ABA-accredited institution, a distinguished record of professional achievement and leadership, and a deep understanding of legal education and pedagogy. The role requires a leader who can make bold decisions to positively impact students, and who is prepared to develop a strong leadership team, implement a dynamic marketing program, and design fundraising initiatives. The Dean will also be expected to strengthen the Law School's standing with the ABA, increase enrollment, and foster partnerships with various legal and governmental entities. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to serve as a collaborative partner to senior leadership and colleagues across the University.
