About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Business Development to take on a pivotal role as the first dedicated sales hire. This position is purely focused on net-new business, with responsibilities that include originating and closing deals within the petrochemical and O&G sectors. The successful candidate will be tasked with building and managing a full sales pipeline from the ground up, selling complex, custom AI and analytics consulting solutions to VP and Director-level buyers, and mapping technical solutions to various business problems. The role demands a hands-on, hunter approach, with full ownership and autonomy in deal strategy and execution.

Applicants for the Head of Business Development role at the company should have a strong existing network within the Houston petrochemical or midstream O&G ecosystem. A minimum of 5 years' experience in selling complex technical solutions, consulting services, or enterprise software is required, with a proven track record of success in dealing with VP and Director-level stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing long sales cycles and large deal negotiations, and the ability to operate independently as the first sales hire. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to the future design of sales processes and team structure as the company scales its revenue.
