About the Role
The Company is in search of a Deputy General Counsel with a focus on real estate to join its in-house legal team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing strategic legal guidance for a variety of high-profile projects, including sports-anchored developments, mixed-use entertainment districts, and complex joint ventures. Key responsibilities for this role include leading legal negotiations for various agreements, offering expert counsel on real estate and business matters, and supervising a team of attorneys. The Deputy General Counsel will also be expected to coordinate litigation strategy, manage outside counsel, and support executive decision-making with clear and business-minded legal advice.
Applicants for the Deputy General Counsel position should have a minimum of 8 years' of experience in handling complex real estate and business transactions, with a background in both law firm and in-house settings. The role requires a professional with strong drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Experience in advising executive leadership and managing internal legal teams is essential.
