About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive leadership team. The CFO will be a key figure in providing strategic and mission-driven financial leadership, with a focus on ensuring fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, and long-term financial sustainability in a complex rural healthcare environment. This role involves overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, revenue cycle, reimbursement, financial reporting, audit, and strategic financial planning. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, executive team, medical staff leadership, and Board of Directors to support organizational strategy and enhance the financial position of the hospital and clinics.

Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience, particularly in rural healthcare. The role requires demonstrated experience in hospital financial operations, budgeting, and reimbursement. The ideal candidate may range from a Controller or Assistant CFO ready to advance to the CFO role, to an experienced Critical Access Hospital CFO seeking a new opportunity. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, professional certifications such as CPA or FHFMA, and experience in Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare settings, with knowledge of Medicare cost reporting, Medicaid reimbursement, and 340B program oversight.
