The Company is seeking an Executive Director with a strong background in philanthropy, nonprofit, and social responsibility to lead its mission of advancing health equity and trust-based philanthropy principles. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic leadership, governance, and operations, with a focus on shaping and executing grantmaking strategies that are informed by data, community insight, and emerging issues. This role requires a minimum of 10 years' progressive leadership experience, a commitment to equity and community-led approaches, and the ability to build strong relationships across sectors and communities. Experience in trust-based philanthropy, impact investing, and the health sector is highly valued, as is a background in both urban and rural markets.
Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include working with the Board to develop and execute the Foundation's vision, strategy, and grantmaking priorities, ensuring mission-aligned impact, and championing best practices in philanthropy. The role also involves fiscal management, stakeholder engagement as the primary spokesperson for the Foundation, and team leadership to foster a transparent, inclusive, and mission-driven culture. The ideal candidate will have a minimum Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree being helpful, and a proven track record of leading and developing teams. Familiarity with corporate philanthropy and experience in both urban and rural markets in Minnesota are also beneficial.
