About the Role

The Chief Accounting Officer will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial information. You will lead and manage end-to-end accounting functions, which includes general ledger oversight, month-end and year-end close processes, regulatory and statutory reporting, and audit coordination, while implementing and maintaining robust internal controls, accounting policies and procedures. You will partner with senior leadership to interpret accounting standards (such as GAAP or IFRS), ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, guide financial statement preparation, and provide insightful analysis that supports strategic decision-making and risk management. In addition, you will lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, foster continuous improvement in accounting processes and systems, and serve as a key advisor to the CFO and executive leadership on accounting matters.

Candidates should have extensive professional experience in accounting and financial reporting, typically including 10+ years in progressively senior roles with broad exposure to accounting principles, financial controls, compliance, and reporting frameworks. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required, and professional credentials such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification are strongly preferred. You must demonstrate deep technical expertise in accounting standards and regulations, strong leadership and team management skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with a strategic mindset and commitment to maintaining financial transparency and integrity across the organization.
