About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its mission-driven team. The CFO will be responsible for integrating financial stewardship, people strategy, and resource allocation to ensure the organization's financial health and support its mission. This role is pivotal in advising the executive team and the Board on strategic development and operational excellence to maintain financial stability and foster growth in the evolving healthcare marketplace. The ideal candidate will be a working executive, providing operational oversight for financial and business management activities, and will be expected to be an ambassador for the organization, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.

Candidates for the CFO position at the company should be prepared to be both stewards of financial resources and champions of the people. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, with a preference for a Master’s degree. A minimum of 7 years' of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit finance and administration, particularly in behavioral health or human services, is essential. The role demands a professional with strong accounting skills, experience in managing complex funding streams, and a proven track record in supervising staff and managing cross-functional teams. The CFO must possess the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operations, demonstrate strong emotional intelligence, and have a passion for mission-driven work that aligns with the company's values. Experience working with a Board of Directors or its Finance Committee is also a critical requirement.
