About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer to lead its fundraising strategy and ensure the organizational strength needed to deepen learning experiences and scale impact. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a minimum of 10 years' experience in nonprofit fundraising, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. This role is pivotal in driving the creation of a comprehensive campaign, particularly in light of the organization's 50th anniversary. The Chief Development Officer will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including the cultivation of major gift donors, and will work closely with the President, CEO, and Board of Directors to advance the organization's mission and goals. Essential functions include leading a development team, managing departmental budgets, and fostering a culture of giving. The ideal candidate will have a deep fundraising network, superior interpersonal skills, and a passion for the mission of the organization.

Candidates for the Chief Development Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for an advanced degree in nonprofit management or a related field. Experience in holistic studies, wellness, or mindfulness is desirable. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in securing major gifts, experience in planned giving, and a strong understanding of the integrated nature of personal, social, and cultural change.
