About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in its ambitious growth journey. The CFO will be a senior advisor, influencing long-term strategy, growth initiatives, and acquisitions, and will lead all financial management activities, including accounting, treasury, budgeting, reporting, and compliance. A key focus will be on strengthening job-cost visibility, WIP reporting, and cash flow performance to enhance profitability. The successful candidate will be responsible for building scalable financial systems and controls, driving M&A strategy, and managing key relationships with financial partners. The role demands a hands-on leader with a strong background in construction, development, or related industries, and a proven track record of scaling a company through operational discipline and strategic foresight.
Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO or senior finance role. Expertise in construction finance, including WIP, bonding, and project accounting, is essential, as is experience with M&A, strategic planning, and capital markets. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, the ability to champion innovation through financial technology and data analytics, and a commitment to developing a high-performing finance and accounting team. A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business is required, with a CPA and/or MBA being preferred. The role is based in Iowa, and the CFO must be willing to maintain a consistent on-site presence.
