About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead the financial operations of its portfolio of consumer lifestyle brands. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of accounting, including financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role demands a strategic and experienced leader with a deep understanding of accounting and FP&A within the retail, apparel, or consumer goods industries. The VP of Finance will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of financial operations, drive strategic financial leadership, and support business growth. Key responsibilities include managing the month-end and year-end close processes, establishing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures, and providing guidance on investment opportunities and operational decisions.
Applicants for the Vice President of Finance position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a Master’s degree and CPA strongly preferred. A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting leadership within the specified industries is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, PCAOB, and tax regulations, and experience with multi-brand portfolios and retail distribution channels. Proficiency in BI tools and a background in private equity-backed environments are highly desirable. The role also requires exceptional leadership, communication, and executive presence, as well as strong FP&A and process improvement skills. The VP of Finance will be a collaborative business partner to the CFO and senior leadership team, and will be expected to build, mentor, and lead a high-performing accounting and finance team.
