About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its mission of fostering inclusive communities that empower individuals and families with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health needs. The CEO will be responsible for the organization's long-term vision, strategies, and goals, overseeing all programmatic, operational, financial, and fundraising activities. This role requires a leader with a proven track record in organizational management, including the ability to inspire staff, maintain a strong relationship with the Board of Directors, and serve as a compelling spokesperson. The successful candidate will also be tasked with deepening and expanding relationships with diverse funding sources and driving key results in fundraising, including a significant capital campaign.
Candidates for the CEO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role, and a background in executive management, strategic planning, and fiscal management. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and a strong skill set in communication, financial management, and relationship building. Personal characteristics of the CEO should include being a problem solver, having a high degree of emotional intelligence, and a commitment to the culture of caring for individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges. Experience in the social services, behavioral health, or housing sector, as well as knowledge of relevant regulations and funding sources, is also highly valued.
