As a substitute paraprofessional, you will play a crucial role in supporting classroom teachers by providing additional assistance to students, particularly those with special needs, to help them achieve their academic and personal goals. This position is also referred to as a school aide, teacher assistant, instructional aide, one-to-one aide, or personal care assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized instructional support to individual students or small groups.
• Assist the teacher in managing classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Help with administrative tasks, including setting up equipment and preparing learning materials.
• Monitor student behavior in areas such as the cafeteria, schoolyard, during field trips, and before or after school programs.
• Attend to students' physical, emotional, academic, and personal needs.
• Support students with special needs by implementing the strategies in their IEPs/504 Plans.
• Carry out additional tasks as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).

Compensation: $13-$22/hr
