As a substitute paraprofessional, you'll play a crucial role in assisting teachers, providing essential support to students with diverse learning needs. Your responsibilities will vary, from enhancing classroom activities to offering individualized support for students requiring additional assistance.

Common titles for this role include school aide, teacher assistant, instructional aide, one-to-one aide, and personal care assistant.

Responsibilities:

• Offer instructional reinforcement to individual students or small groups.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and supervision of the class.
• Support administrative tasks such as setting up equipment and preparing materials.
• Supervise students during lunch, in the schoolyard, and during field trips or after-school programs.
• Attend to the physical, academic, and emotional needs of students.
• Provide support to students with special needs by following their IEPs or 504 Plans.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the classroom teacher and school administration.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).

Pay: $13-$22/hr
