Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the upcoming full semester at an elementary school in Boston, MA. This contract position offers approximately 32.5 hours per week, with a typical schedule from 8:45 AM to 3:30 PM, starting as soon as possible and tentatively ending by the close of the 2025-2026 school year or June 30th. In this role, you will support a caseload of 14-15 inclusion students, delivering tailored educational strategies to meet diverse learning needs. The teaching environment is onsite, fostering direct interaction with students and collaboration with fellow educators. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students Monitoring and documenting student progress Collaborating with classroom teachers to create inclusive learning environments Communicating with families and support staff to promote student success Maintaining compliance with state and school regulations Preferred qualifications and skills: Active Massachusetts teaching license or certification in special education Previous experience working in school settings Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required Ability to pass a CORI background check and complete fingerprinting (letter of suitability from previous employer may be accepted) Strong organizational and communication skills This is an excellent opportunity for educators committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with special needs.
