Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position offers an opportunity to support elementary students with special education needs, primarily focusing on self-contained autism programs. Located onsite in Frederick, MD (21701), this role involves a consistent weekly schedule averaging 35-40 hours, starting ASAP with an end date of June 10, 2026. Five openings are available for qualified candidates. Key responsibilities include: Delivering specialized instruction to elementary students with autism in a self-contained classroom setting Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, administrators, and families to support student progress Managing a caseload of approximately 10 students, ensuring compliance with state and federal special education regulations Maintaining accurate documentation of student performance and program activities Qualifications and experience desired: Valid Special Education Teacher certification with authorization for self-contained elementary programs, preferably with a focus on autism Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and individualized instruction techniques Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with staff, families, and support services Ability to manage and differentiate instruction for a small caseload effectively Employment details and benefits: This is a W2 contract position Competitive hourly pay rate between $38 and $42, based on experience Comprehensive healthcare benefits included Dedicated recruiter and ongoing agency support throughout the assignment If you have a passion for supporting students with autism and special education needs in an elementary setting, this role in Frederick, MD offers a rewarding opportunity with strong support and benefits.
