Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Special Education Teachers (3 Positions) Location: Zion, IL Elementary School Duration: Contract through 6/5/2026 (emergency days pending) We are seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to provide exceptional support and instruction within an elementary school setting. These full-time (approximately 32.5 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch) contract positions are ideal for educators committed to fostering the growth and success of students with diverse learning needs. Available Positions: 1 position: Elementary Self-Contained Classroom (West) 2 positions: Elementary Resource Teachers (Pre-K through 2nd grade)
One Resource position includes a split schedule: 0.8 FTE at East and 0.2 FTE at Beulah Park One Resource position located at Lakeview
Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students unique learning requirements Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to implement IEP goals Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies to ensure academic achievement Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment promoting student engagement and growth Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with special education regulations Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with elementary-aged students in self-contained and resource settings preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to manage diverse learning styles and behaviors effectively This contract opportunity offers a meaningful way to impact young learners educational journeys within a supportive school environment.
