Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for Special Education Teachers to support elementary students in inclusive and self-contained settings. These full-time contract positions are ideal for professionals passionate about making a meaningful difference for students with special needs in a supportive educational environment. Locations: Evanston, IL Duration: Contract through the current school year, approximately until June 5, 2026 Schedule: Full-time (~32.5 hours per week) with a 30-minute unpaid lunch Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction tailored to the unique learning needs of students with disabilities Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and other staff Provide academic and behavioral support within self-contained or resource classroom settings Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to promote growth Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a comprehensive educational experience Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid Illinois Special Education teaching certification Experience in elementary special education, including self-contained and resource classroom settings Ability to manage a classroom and adapt curriculum to meet diverse student needs Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and families Positions Available: 1 Elementary Self-Contained position (West location) 2 Elementary Resource positions serving PK-2 students: one split (0.8 at East and 0.2 at another site), and one at Lakeview This contract role offers the chance to work with young learners at a critical stage in their educational journey and to positively impact their development.
