Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Special Education Teacher seeking a dynamic role within a K-12 educational environment in Chapel Hill, NC. The position is offered on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY), allowing you to make a significant impact on student growth and development during this period. Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the needs of students with disabilities. Utilize differentiated instruction techniques to support diverse learners across various grade levels. Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to create an inclusive learning environment. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to ensure academic and social growth. Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations. Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification for K-12 education. Experience working with students with diverse learning needs in a special education setting. Strong knowledge of current special education laws, regulations, and best practices. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
