Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a qualified educator to lead an Elementary self-contained Special Education classroom in Jacksonville, FL. This contract position runs from January 5, 2026, through May 28, 2026, within an elementary school setting. The role requires managing a caseload of students with diverse exceptionalities and varying learning levels. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to each students unique needs. Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that fosters growth and learning. Collaborate with school staff, parents, and specialists to promote student success. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with stakeholders. Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet varying learning abilities. Qualifications: Active Florida Special Education (ESE) certification. Valid Florida General Education certification in either K-6 or PK-3. Experience leading self-contained elementary classrooms preferred. Strong knowledge of individualized education plans and differentiation. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Location: This position is based on-site at a single elementary school location in Jacksonville, FL. Details: Contract duration: January 5, 2026 May 28, 2026. Full-time engagement: 35 hours per week (7 hours per day). This role involves working on-site exclusively.
