Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers the opportunity to lead a self-contained Elementary Special Education classroom, educating students with diverse learning needs and exceptionalities. Working full-time at a single school location in the Jacksonville, FL area, this contract role runs from early January through late May. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual learning levels within the self-contained Elementary ESE classroom Develop and implement educational plans aligned with students IEPs and state standards Collaborate with support staff and families to foster student success and well-being Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed Qualifications: Active Florida Special Education certification Florida certification in Elementary Education (K-6) or Primary Education (PK-3) Experience managing a self-contained classroom with diverse exceptionalities preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Location: Jacksonville, FL area (exact school location to be confirmed) Contract Details: Contract school year assignment from January 5, 2026, to May 28, 2026 Full-time commitment, 35 hours per week (7 hours per day) On-site work required This role is ideal for educators passionate about special education and dedicated to making a positive impact in an inclusive learning environment.
