Permanent Inpatient Hospital Pharmacist
for a well-established community hospital located in the northern suburbs of New York City. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist seeking long-term stability, professional growth, and a collaborative inpatient environment. About the Role This position is based in a
300-bed community hospital
and plays a key role in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care to hospitalized patients. The pharmacist will work closely with nurses, physicians, and the broader healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered medication management. Schedule Variable shifts
Day shifts: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM4:00 PM
Evening shifts: 4:00 PM12:00 AM
Every other weekend coverage (day or evening shifts)
Key Responsibilities Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams in the delivery of pharmaceutical services
Review and verify medication orders against patient medication profiles in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and standards
Ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication dispensing and clinical support
Demonstrate leadership and strong customer service in daily pharmacy operations
Maintain professional accountability with a commitment to continuous learning and growth
Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD
Active New York Pharmacist license in good standing
Inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work variable shifts, including evenings and weekends
