Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a dedicated special education teacher with a focus on high school students, specifically serving 10th and 12th grades. The role offers a manageable caseload of only 10 students, providing the chance to make a meaningful impact with personalized attention. Located in Wolcott, NY, this contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and operates within standard school hours. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the individual needs of high school students in grades 10 and 12 Manage case responsibilities efficiently to support students' educational progress and compliance with special education requirements Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Maintain accurate documentation and communication regarding student performance and progress Utilize planning periods effectively to prepare instruction and manage administrative tasks Qualifications and Desired Experience: Certification or licensure in special education teaching for high school levels Experience working with high school students, particularly 10th and 12th grades Proven ability to handle case management responsibilities within special education frameworks Strong organizational skills and flexibility to work within scheduled hours Work Schedule and Compensation: Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:10 PM Includes a daily lunch and planning period, plus an additional planning period every other day Competitive hourly pay ranging from $38 to $48, commensurate with experience and qualifications This position offers a supportive environment with a focused caseload, ideal for educators committed to advancing outcomes for special education students.
