Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A high school special education opportunity is available for experienced educators specializing in 10th and 12th grades. This contract position offers a focused caseload of only 10 students, enabling personalized instruction and case management within a supportive school environment in Auburn, NY. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to high school students in 10th and 12th grades Serving as a case manager to coordinate services and support for students with special education needs Collaborating with general education teachers and staff to integrate accommodations and modifications Monitoring student progress and maintaining detailed records in compliance with special education regulations Participating actively in team meetings and parent conferences to support student success Ideal candidates will have: Valid certification in Special Education for secondary education levels, preferably including 10th and 12th grades Experience managing a manageable caseload of approximately 10 students, ensuring individualized attention Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively coordinate case management duties Proven ability to work within a structured school schedule and maintain detailed documentation Work schedule and benefits include: Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:10 PM, Monday through Friday Daily lunch and planning periods with an additional planning time every other day Competitive hourly rate ranging from $38 to $48 based on experience and qualifications Contract duration spans the current school year (CSY) This position provides a balanced workload with a focus on quality student support and collaborative teaching.
