Job DescriptionJob Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity seeks experienced special education professionals to support high school students in grades 10 and 12. This contract position for the current school year offers a manageable caseload and a structured daily schedule designed for effective case management and instructional planning. Responsibilities include: Managing and delivering specialized instruction tailored to the needs of 10 high school students. Coordinating individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to ensure compliance and student progress. Maintaining detailed case management documentation and monitoring student performance. Utilizing planning periods, including a daily lunch and planning break plus a second planning period every other day, to prepare lessons and coordinate services. Qualifications and desired experience: Proven experience as a special education teacher, preferably working with 10th and 12th-grade high school students. Strong case management skills and familiarity with IEP development and implementation. Ability to develop individualized instructional plans that meet diverse learning needs. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a school setting. Location and schedule: Position based in Fulton, NY. Hours are from 7:30 AM to 3:10 PM, aligned with the school day. This is a contract role for the current school year. This role balances a reasonable caseload and dedicated planning time, creating an environment focused on targeted student support and professional collaboration.
