Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available for the remainder of the current school year in the Cleveland area. This contract position focuses on serving K-12 students with moderate to severe disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting. The assignment requires a skilled educator to provide comprehensive instruction and support tailored to each student's unique learning needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities in a K-12 self-contained classroom. Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists, counselors, and general education staff. Maintain thorough documentation of student performance and behavior. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth. Qualifications and Experience: Valid teaching certification in special education. Demonstrated experience working with students who have moderate to severe disabilities. Prior experience managing a self-contained classroom. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to implement behavior management techniques and adapt instruction. Commitment to student-centered education and collaboration with educational teams. Location: Position is based in the Cleveland area, serving a school community in Akron, OH. Additional Details: This is a backfill assignment with an ASAP start date. One full-time opening available.
