Seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time, contract position during the 2025-2026 school year at a high school located in Longmont, CO. This role focuses on moderate to severe special education classrooms and includes case management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in Colorado special education settings and demonstrate strong organizational skills, particularly with paperwork and compliance. Key Qualifications and Experience: Experience teaching in Colorado special education classrooms Familiarity with case management duties and documentation requirements Ability to work flexibly with students in a classroom setting Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license or an application in progress Proven capability handling moderate to severe special education needs at the high school level Strong communication and collaboration skills for onsite work Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction and support to students with moderate to severe special education needs Manage individualized education plans (IEPs) and related documentation with accuracy Collaborate with staff, families, and service providers to deliver effective educational programs Maintain compliance with Colorado special education regulations Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs Location: Onsite position in Longmont, Colorado This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a structured special education environment.
