Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the upcoming school year at a K-12 school in Arvada, CO. This 40-hour per week contract role is based in a Resource Classroom setting and offers a start date of ASAP with an end date of May 22, 2026. Required Qualifications: Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education License with Generalist Endorsement (5-21) Professional Teacher License (no travelers, substitute, temporary, or interim licenses unless the full SPED license with endorsement is in progress with proof) Strong knowledge and experience in Specially Designed Instruction Extensive understanding of the IEP process and collaboration with IEP team professionals Experience supporting students on alternative standards Position is onsite, non-voiced (VOCO), and non-hybrid Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction in a Resource Classroom environment Design and implement educational strategies tailored to students with special needs Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams for IEP development and implementation Monitor student progress and adapt instruction to meet individual goals Maintain compliance with state education standards and policies This opportunity is ideal for educators skilled in special education who are ready to engage fully in a supportive school community.
