This opportunity is for an experienced Special Education Teacher specializing in Autism to support three classrooms within a K-8 school on the east side of Denver, CO. The role focuses on providing direct classroom instruction and assistance to students in elementary through middle school, with an emphasis on managing and collaborating with paraprofessionals. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored educational support to students with autism across three classrooms, averaging 12 students each Manage paraprofessionals effectively to ensure cohesive classroom support Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs Collaborate with school staff to maintain a structured and supportive learning environment Maintain compliance with all state and district regulations related to special education Qualifications: Active Colorado Teaching License with a Special Education Generalist endorsement Demonstrated experience working in classroom settings serving students with autism Proven ability to manage and lead paraprofessionals Strong organizational and communication skills Commitment to working on-site; virtual or hybrid formats are not permissible Position Details: Location: Denver area, east side (Mosley P-8) Employment Type: Contract for the current school year (January 7, 2026 May 21, 2026) Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within a supportive school community by fostering the academic and social growth of students with special needs.
