Located in Aurora, CO, this full-time special education teaching position focuses on supporting a preschool Autism classroom within an elementary school setting. The assignment runs from January 7, 2026, through May 21, 2026, with a Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week. This role supports early childhood students with special needs, specifically autism, at a designated child development center in the Denver area. Candidates must be onsite; virtual or hybrid arrangements are not available for this position. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instructional support tailored to preschool-aged children with autism. Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with district standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and families. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Maintain compliance with all state and district regulations governing special education practices. Required Qualifications: Active Colorado Teaching License with an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) endorsement. Candidates currently in the process of obtaining ECSE licensure may be considered, pending eligibility verification. Experience working with preschool-aged children on the autism spectrum is highly preferred. Desired Experience: Up to 2 years: Entry level with foundational skills. 3-5 years: Developing expertise in early childhood special education. 6-9 years: Advanced instructional strategies and leadership skills. 10+ years: Extensive experience with demonstrated results in autism education.
