Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time position requires a dedicated Special Education Teacher licensed for K-12 to support students in a comprehensive K-12 school setting. The role is based in Elkhart, IN, and operates on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). Key Qualifications: Valid Special Education Teaching License for grades K-12 Experience working with diverse student needs across the K-12 spectrum Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and compliance with special education laws Effective communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet varying learning styles and abilities Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction tailored to each student's educational requirements Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with educational teams and parents Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to support growth Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulatory standards related to special education Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment that promotes student development and success Location: Elkhart, Indiana This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the school community by ensuring students with special needs receive appropriate educational support.
